I don't normally enjoy mysteries, and this one was billed with a chilling thriller description. However, it was more a story of misogyny and sexism in 1960's and 1970's upper-class Eastern US. It was not a scary story, other than that.
A twist around every corner that threw me for a loop making me feel like an acrobat that just witnessed a spider build a whole web. Very real and fleshed out characters built around a mystery that keeps on giving.
Was good! Wish they would’ve dived into the supernatural element a bit more. Would’ve loved less characters so that we could’ve explored their storylines a bit more. Good twist!
Wanted to like this after all the hype but I found myself just wanting it to end. They definitely drug it out.
