To start, I've recently become a fan of thrillers. This was my second book with a slightly heavier topic and I must say I loved it!
The book starts slowly with the introduction of Meghan at an interview for her book. We quickly learn that everything is not as it seems in the small town of Emerson Bay. However, one thing for sure is that up until the last few chapters we are left guessing as to who could've been the kidnapper. If it wasn't though for Livia teaming up with Meghan, we probably wouldn't have gotten to the bottom of who had done it.
However, in the end, we found out that Casey had indeed played a part in every single kidnapping mentioned and possibly even more than what was placed within the book. However, the shocking part of it all was the fact that Meghan's father was the one who was sexually abusing the girls and then killing them. By the end of the book, I was left with more questions. Who was the body they found, and how did Terry get the drugs and the body bag? Was anyone else involved, but most importantly was Nicole Cutty killed??
Hard to get into in the beginning but the ending I finally was hooked. But man the ending though…who is it!?!?
