The Gilded Mirror: A dark fairy‑tale retelling (Finding Ever After Book 1)

Okay so I picked this book up at Ozcon Brisbane this year and was first called to this book based on the set I saw on the table of the characters. And then I spoke to the guy behind the counter and asked about the books, he explained to me that it was a fairy tale retelling and from that second I was sold and then I read the back and was even more sold I decided to purchase the whole series. I also got the chance to meet the author a couple hours later and express my excitement to read their story! I genuinely couldn’t put this book down, from the first few pages when you meet the queen to meeting all the other characters I was pulled into the story and didn’t wanna leave. Something I loved which I know many others don’t is mixed povs I love being able to see the story unfolding from different angles and understanding that it’s not all about the main characters, each character has a role in this story and deserves their time to share it. I’m so very excited to continue this story in the next books which I shall be starting immediately. You can tell that this first book is going to be in a series cause it definitely focusing on world building, character building and pulling you in and you know by the end of this book that there is so much more to know and do, it can be really hard to keep readers invested but the way this book does it is incredible. I’m interested to see how relationships change and what other things are going to happen to all these characters who I now have fallen in love with Thank you for writing an amazing start to this beautiful story!
