I had a feeling I was either going to love this or hate it...mainly I wasn't sure how I was going to like Greek gods and other pantheon deities in present day, as in living in San Francisco amongst mortals during the 21st century. Turns out, I really enjoyed it. I loved the Hunger Games and Percy Jackson vibes, and I loved learning about some of the different pantheon mythologies and creatures (I did a lot of side Googling anytime a God/Goddess or creature, tool, myth, etc. was mentioned).

There were a lot of times when Lyra annoyed the hell out of me, but I'm a sucker for self-deprecating humor and I loved her sass.

(Potential spoiler below)
I'm not sure how I feel about Hades and Lyra's relationship...Hades attraction/possession/love of Lyra seemed a little quick, but you kind of find out why at the end - but I'm also like well how long has this guy been watching her life then??
