What an eye opener! Never knew about this sad part of our history and this book made it very real for me. The author did a great job of combining history with a story that breaks your heart. I hope that as a result of this book this will be added to the history books that are taught about this period of time. After all.. 25% of the population of Canada are descended from British home children! That number alone is unbelievable… and yet it is true. Do not miss this book!
