Let’s start with the obvious: yes, I totally judge books by their covers. And if I’m being honest (sorry, cover art team), this one wouldn’t have made it past my “ooh shiny” radar without the summary. But once I cracked it open, I was completely charmed. Lightning strikes! Lost purpose! Single moms! Intergenerational living! Bookish magic! Basically, it’s like someone took a Hallmark movie, sprinkled in the smell of old books, and said, “Let’s emotionally ruin the librarians—in a good way.”
Juliet and Tallulah’s stories weave together beautifully, and the Forget-Me-Not Library itself deserves its own library card number—it’s that enchanting. This is the kind of cozy, heartfelt small-town story that makes you want to drop everything, move to Alabama (if you’re not already here), and shelve books for a living.
So yes, this one’s a solid 5 stars from me. It’s heartwarming, bookish, a little magical, and it reminded me why libraries—and the people who love them—will always be where lost things are found again.
Recommended for librarians, book lovers, anyone who’s ever believed a story could heal you… and people who know “Roll Tide” is a greeting, blessing, and lifestyle.
