Would definitely recommend this book! In a very unassuming way, the author shines a light on what we all face as humans in this world. It explores the aspects of character building in regards to adaptation, kindness, acceptance, forgiveness, love, grief, differences, isolation, support systems, & the utmost importance of human bonds. Truly, without love in our lives what is its’ purpose or meaning!

Our book club enjoyed the book. I initially rated it a 10, but after our discussion, decided to make it an 8 because some characters were not very realistic but seemed invented to move the plot where the author wanted it to go. Overall, we all agreed that the main character, Murray, was very well done. All of us are in our 60's and 70's and the author nailed what the aging process feels like! There was a nice variety of characters and the book showed how easy it is for us to misread and misjudge other people based on our own life experiences and preconceived notions. About half of us cried at the ending!
