I didn’t realized diving into this book that it was going to be from Tobias’s view and to be honest I wasn’t sure at the beginning if I was going to like it. After a few chapters of digging in…I knew it was something I needed to help finish the series off with. It was a great way of seeing his views on life and what happened that caused everything to unfold the way it did.
I love Sean and Dom but Tobias is my ride or die dude. Definitely shed some tears while reading this book though. I’m heart broken that this series ended and literally sat in silence while I tried to process everything.
These books will be on my shelf always. They have my heart.
What a fantastic conclusion to this extraordinary trilogy.
I must admit, the initial half to two-thirds of the book can be somewhat sluggish and occasionally exasperating to navigate. However, your patience and persistence are handsomely compensated in the latter portion and the conclusion.
The emotional intensity remained consistent, and as anticipated, the ending evoked profound heartache. Nevertheless, it also delivered a sense of solace, which serves as a balm to counter the heartrending experiences Kate subjected readers to in the first two books.

After grieving the loss from Exodus, I had to take a six-month sabbatical before reading this book. And I am glad that I did that because initially, the plan was to NOT read this book. However, after finishing the book now, I would highly recommend reading this 3rd book to the duet. It fills in a lot of gaps left in the first two books and explains Tobias' behavior. I have to admit I was not a huge fan of the Frenchman, but I have learned to appreciate and love him through this book. (I'd rather have #rainydays).
With all that said, I do feel like it moved slowly, and had the audiobook set to 2x speed to just get through it. I've got big hopes for the Ravenhood Legacy series that Kate Stewart is starting, and am chomping at the bits to get my hands on Dom's story (July 27th).
