This was a very quick read. After reading six books by Lisa Kleypas, the formula is pretty simple, rake meet misunderstood abused heroine, heroine proceed to befuddle and then completely turn his character around. I find I liked the Hathaway Siblings novels to much better as the couples did not have to "reform" the other (any reform was done by the before the relationship started.
I liked Evie, Sebastian, Cam (of course) and Lord Westcliff, and to my surprise I did not like Lillian. Her dialog and interactions with Evie annoyed me and I found it jarring in the rhythm of the story. I also felt the descriptions of Cam needed some editing. He starts out as a young man of 25ish and then is referred to as a boy repeatedly, except for some interactions with Sebastian, then there are two men in the action.
These are just minor not-picks of a good solid romance novel. Though while I await the book releases coming out on the 31st, I think I will give regency romances a little break. There are sweet like candy, but you sometimes can just over indulge.

This is probably one of my favorite historical romances. This is easily the third time (at least) that I've read it. It's a comfort book that almost always helps me get out of a reading rut. I love watching Evie become a confident woman who isn't pushed around. And Sebastian might be one of my favorite heroes. An honest to God, reformed Rake
