Betrayal.

He was the deception waiting in the night; the truth I never saw coming. After a lifetime of manipulation, I finally learned the truth. I was his puppet—even if I never saw my strings.

Even knowing how deep his betrayal runs, I can’t shake the undeniable connection between Gray and I—the way a single glance from him sets my soul on fire. We are not the same. We're enemies, poised to battle for the future of the very thing I’d wanted to destroy.

With the Covenant gone, the revenge I thought I wanted is no longer my priority. The witches that remain played no role in my aunt’s death, and the only person standing in the way of righting those wrongs is the very man determined to keep me in his bed.

But the remaining members of the Coven will never forgive me for the role I played in their demise and subjugation, and the worst part of all is that I can’t even blame them for it. I’d been naive, believing my own delusions of grandeur when destiny clearly had other plans for me. Plans that had been set in motion centuries before my birth.

But even that had been a lie, and now it is my duty to do everything in my power to undo it.

To protect my Coven from my husband’s hatred—no matter what the cost.

This wasnt as good as the first one, had to skip through a lot.

I did like Gray a lot in this, my kind of devil. I got frustrated with Willow's continuously fighting Gray and the connection that they had. We worshipped her and love her unconditionally and continuously showed Willow how loved she was. It got old halfway through the book. Then I didnt like the end.....couple had a good ending, just didnt like how it played out. Sexy, intense sex scenes kept me turning pages but again, had to skip though the book to get to end.

I have a lot of things to say about this book, some good, most not so good. Good: - I enjoyed the character development MMC. Even though I personally didn’t LOVE the way he treated Willow throughout their entire relationship, he was a more decent person towards the end. - I liked the way Willow used her new powers, discovering her new ones and the way her and Lucifer shared each others powers. Not So Good: - no plot. I think there were 3-4 different plots introduced throughout this book. The only one that stuck was Lucifer trying to learn to love Willow. That was it. They never actually did anything to fix the Coven except kill people. - I did not enjoy the last 5% of the book where an entirely new story popped up out of nowhere. All of a sudden they need to fight Gods army. Why? I’m not sure. - it was really hard to like the MMC when all the FMC did was talk about how terrible he was. How am I supposed to fall in love with the MMC when the FMC hates his guys so much she wants him dead. - I think Willows friends suck. Their relationships are shallow. - I don’t like Willow. At all. She can’t make up her mind. She goes back on everything she says and thinks. And she’s extremely immature. What I Wanted From The Book: - I was expecting some sort of fight from Willow. I wanted her to have epic fights with her powers, raise an army of the dead to get what she wants. Actually change the school to whatever she wanted it to be. Fight the cursed. Actually fall in love with Lucifer. Like he should have done something to prove his love to her, something epic. And then it should have ended there.
