This book is about the an actress who disappeared when she was at the peak of her career. We learn about the life she led with Able, a director who moulded her to be who she has become in every way, the good and the bad. The man who is so toxic and such a monster to have isolated a young girl from everyone she loves, the monster who crumbled her mental health. But Grace is determined to bring herself back up. This is her story.
While it was amazing reading about how she slowly rose back from being so down, I felt that the book was pretty draggy. Most of the time I kept wondering to myself: when is she going to do something? A lot of the book was about how down she was, so it was frustrating, although I can tell it was an attempt to help build character and connection with the reader. Transitions between the past and present were confusing, too. This book touches on something very real, but the plot was mediocre, and I found myself eager to finish it soon so that I could move on to a more interesting read.

This was a bit too slow for me. Not sure I enjoyed the characters too much either. Had to speed up narration to get to the end.
