The Cleaner's Captive: A Dark Mafia Romance (Ruthless Rule Book 2)

This is a great, but slightly different, mafia story, it is the second in the series but can easily be read as a standalone. Prosecutor, Sofia Navarro, was getting threats to her and her family, she had just successfully put away notorious cartel boss, Alejandro Reyes. Sofia was super intelligent, she knew that she had to watch her back but she hadn't accounted for the speed and efficiency of the ghost. Mateo Reyes, the brother of Alejandro, was the cleaner for the powerful Vega cartel, he cleaned up after the cartel, bodies disappeared without trace and Sofia was now his captive. This is Sofia and Mateo's story, he had taken her to a secluded cabin, miles away from anywhere, it was like a fortress, escape was practically impossible, she knew that Mateo's orders were to get her to reverse the verdict, even if it meant lying to the powers that be. Mateo had a grudging respect for Sofia but she was still the enemy, Sofia knew that only her intelligence and her knowledge of the cartel would help her now, could she get Mateo to change sides ? would he believe the brother who he had looked up to all his life or the woman that he held captive, the woman who had put his brother behind bars. This is a fast paced story with wonderful characters, Mateo, who's belief in his brother was unquestionable, Sofia, who had to use everything in her power to change his mind. Mateo had powerful people pulling his strings but he was strangely attracted to the fast talking prosecutor. An enjoyable story of enemies to friends that had me gripped from the beginning.
