The haves vs have-nots, to kill or be killed.....
Survival means more than just getting by, but run with the wrong crowd, make a misstep, forget your place, and even that survival becomes precarious...
Gang turf wars, up-and-coming members ....total disregard for human life, how to get out of a bad situation and keep it under-wraps long enough to survive and make it to better circumstance....possible or out of reach for the "average Joe" .... a period killer with a job change and his own set of difficulties, a riot that you feel an immense part of and how is all comes together keeps you wondering what's next. A place or two where you just want to smack the "hero" for sheer stupidity, I mean really think with your head, the one above your neck, yeah,I went there cause that move was just too stupid and causes a cascade of events that...well, let's say changed the outcome of someone who is the real hero and stepped up big time, and another who once a specific series of events set in motion, you knew was in trouble.... I will read the next in the series at some point...definitely want to know what going to happen next.
