Dryad Lila longs for her own cherry tree to bond with. In her home in Grower’s Cove, those are forbidden to her. The work exchange treaty with the Purple Oak Oasis offers a chance to earn enough money to purchase a tree of her own. Finding a grove of Sakura trees at the Purple Oak Oasis, she feels called to them despite worrying who they belong to. Tea Witch healer, Grey Steeper, has his own special relationship with the Sakura trees. He is enchanted by Lila when they meet and they soon find themselves spending time together. Will love bloom along with the trees?

The Cherry Dryad’s Blossom tells a sweet story between two outsiders finding a connection in each other. Grey may be part of the founding families but spent time living elsewhere as his family were diplomats. His connection to the Sakuras comes from traditions he shared with his grandmother and I enjoyed seeing him share it with Lila. Lila has every reason to be wary of Grey as her mother was used by a powerful man. As they slowly get to know each other, she realizes that she can trust him. The dual POV helps establish the characters and their hopes and fears. The world building highlights the differences between Growers Cove and the Purple Oak Oasis and makes each feel like real places. A lovely paranormal romance from Laura Greenwood and Ariana Jade.
