The Cartel 6: The Demise

The Cartel series is back...and more deadly than ever.

Las Vegas. A city built on obscene wealth and corrupt deals, cunning entrepreneurs, and the ruthless mob. The Cartel's plan to open a casino will rake in cash, but comes with great sacrifice. The stakes have never been this high, and rules of the game have never been this hard to manipulate. And when one dead girl, one scorned wife, and one hole in the desert launch a chain of catastrophic events, The Cartel is sent on a downward spiral as they battle the Arabian mob and fight traitors within their circle. Will the Cartel prevail...or fall victim to the city's black cloud? And if there's one rule in the town of Vegas, it's that when the dust settles, there can only be one winner, in The Cartel 6: The Demise, by New York Times bestselling authors Ashley & JaQuavis.

there will be spoilers in this review and i will not be blurring them, please read at your own risk ⚠️ time spent reading: 2 days reading experience: physical + digital KU copy brief summary: we pick up with the hauntining revelation of Miamor's actions causing Baraka coming to the States to take claim his vengeance after learning Yasmin went to meet her maker. At this point, Carter is helpless after being shot; and Murder has resurfaced, yet again. this installment really takes us through the emotional ringer, the Diamonds and associates aren't strangers to mourning, but there was such much in this one. Between the death of Leena, kidnapping of CJ and Money Jr, betrayel of Zyir turning state, AND the set-it-off ass death of Monroe Sr. I just don't know what's left for us in book 7 [it has been a few years since I read the series; so I have a small recollection of the upcoming events] my thoughts: there's so much to unpack here. i finished this read a few days before doing actually doing my review and having to type this is still tugging at my delusional heart strings. i felt Miamor's pain when learning Fly Boogie not only was working with Murder, but also tried to bring down the Cartel by bringing harm to Carter? - after spending so much time with him, the questionability of his loyalty is on the stand. THEN to turn around and be with this man after all of this 😮🙊 just because he brought the babies back home; Miamor, this is not you GIRL STAND UP‼️ [ and she did, but I won't spoil that for you all ] Zyirrrrrrr, i am at a lost for words - after everything Carter has done for you, even after having to handle Ace, this is what you do? 🥺😭Now don't get me wrong, I understand the parallel of not wanting Breeze to go down for your mistakes- but FED 🫨- you lucky Carter cut you off and didn't handle you like he knows how. Then its the fact you let Carter lie with the enemy for 3 YEARS, he bringing her around family, parading like this his girl fr??! i'm SICK. 🤕 the surprise cameo from Aries, not really a surprise, cause she is always going to come through for Miamor, I just wish she came before our girl got convicted - either way we knew Sam, or should we say Agent Tiffani was going to meet her maker, sooner than later. You don't play with fire like the Cartel and walk away unscathed. triggers: murder violence mentions of substance kidnapping
