This is just the book that you need whilst lying on your sun lounger with the sounds of the sea in the background. Earplugs !!!, Poppy Somerville was incandescent with rage, this was Cooper Nicholson's answer to the racket that he was making at 7am on a Sunday morning outside her aunt's house. Poppy was a well established writer of romantic novels, she believed that everyone had a soulmate, she had walked out on her fiance weeks before the wedding when she realized that he was not hers. To get away from the backlash, her aunt Jane had offered Poppy her beachside cottage in Sweetbriar Cove, it was off the beaten track so she would have peace and quiet to finish her book, that was if she could get past her writers block. Ruggedly handsome Cooper was working on the house next door, he had built up a business renovating old houses, how on earth was Poppy going to concentrate on her writing with that racket outside her back door ? Cooper remembered Poppy from when they were children, he had teased her mercilessly, now she was a beautiful woman who wrote about romance and soulmates, something Cooper didn't believe in, he had been bitten once and that was enough, even if he was very attracted to the grown up Poppy. This story follows Poppy and Cooper as they start their journey, a journey with many hurdles, Poppy needs to decide if Sweetbriar Cove holds enough to stop her returning to her home in New York, Cooper has to learn to leave the past behind, to start believing in himself and trusting others. This is a well told story with wonderful characters, who wouldn't want to live in beautiful, friendly Sweetbriar Cove, a place where everyone knows your business and everyone has your back.
