_______________ The book club was her idea, of course. It was her way into our group. A chance to get close. I knew from the day she arrived that she couldn't be trusted. And I was right. Alice didn't come to the village for peace and quiet. She came for revenge.
_______________ A deliciously addictive psychological thriller about a book club that unravels dark and scandalous secrets between one circle of neighbours. The perfect page-turner for fans of Big Little Lies and The Rumour. What readers are saying about The Book Club: 'Wow. What a page turner' 'Couldn't put it down!!!' 'Truly a five-star debut' 'Absolutely addictive' 'Seriously page-turning, totally gripping' 'A thrilling read, found it hard to put down once I'd started. Loved the ending' 'Brilliant, a proper page turner' 'Dark and creepy' 'Loved it!' 'Gripping to the last page' 'Fast paced and will make your blood run cold!' 'Had me on the edge of my seat'

Quick read. Entertaining
I dragged myself through this book. I’d actually bought it for a gift but on reading the back though it sounded really good! So I kept it! I was even more excited to read it when I read about the author and her life prior to writing.
I have wanted to write books since I was a teenager but self esteem has limited me acting upon this dream. When I heard of this authors life prior it really made me think if she can do it, I definitely have the ability because I’ve worked in all manner of settings with offenders, nursing and as a professional training jockey amongst other mad jobs in my career to date, plus have a personal like that’s erm…. Colourful

This was my Bookclubs first read. I thought the book was good and funny since we didn’t know each other. I def didn’t expect the ending.
💕 About: Alice moves to a town outside of London next door to Lucy. And suggests a book club but it’s not the fun and friendly book club they all hoped it would be.
💕What I liked: honestly? Nothing
💕What I disliked: Everything! It was choppy, confusing because there was no idea which characters POV it was going too until at least a paragraph in. It was anticlimactic, and it took FOREVER. What a waste of 5 days of reading.
