A fun read

Its such a heart warming and comforting book. The world feels quite small and easy to grasp.
Interesting thinking point about being able to remove memories - should we get rid of memories that are so painful that we don't want to deal with them? when a person in power can convince someone he has wronged to erase a memory, does it merely enable that powerful person to repeatedly take advantage of another?
First third of the book is from the POV of Emmett Farmer, second is a Emmett's POV of a memory that had been erased, and the third POV is from Lucien Darnay, taking over from the current moment.
Well written

4.5 stars. What an intricate magic system that was delicately brought up throughout the book. There isn’t very often I wish for a book to be longer but this one I do. The set up to this book was full and lovely and then the second half was too speedy. I think it could’ve been more evenly paced. I did love the characters. They are flawed and lovely. The narrators are unreliable and you learn along with them. I enjoyed it a lot.
