Rick Deckard was an officially sanctioned bounty hunter whose job was to find rogue androids, and to retire them. But cornered, androids tended to fight back, with deadly results.

Un gran libro sobre distopías. Una visión de un mundo devastado donde gran parte de las especies se han extinguido y los humanos restantes resisten simple y llanamente gracias a un artilugio que les permite sentir algo y entrar en conexión con varias personas. En este mundo distópico entran en juego elementos que nos hacen pensar que define a un humano. En el libro se trata sobre que hace especial a un humano respecto a un androide, el cual subyuga a nivel de un mero objeto, que ha de ser eliminado en caso de que no cumpla su cometido. Los humanos que no pueden sentir sin su máquina realmente son humanos o simplemente androides que pueden llegar a sentir empatía si se les empuja con tecnología.
