Another great read by Elizabeth Taylor. I enjoy going back to her books every once in a while.
Flora is the "soul of kindness" of the title. She's self-absorbed but at the same time means well by trying to "help" her friends and family, pushing them into things they don't or shouldn't want, completely oblivious that she's making things worse for everyone.
