The first time I was introduced to this author’s unique voice and art style was way back when she was blogging (uncertain if she still blogs) which then turned into her first published book Hyperbole and a Half (which was also the name of her blog). I thoroughly enjoyed the blog, the first book, and I’m happy to say I enjoyed her second round of interesting storytelling! You laugh and you feel understood. Or, at least, I feel understood for the weirdling I am and have always been! If you have ever felt weird, like you have a strange sort of voice, a different way of seeing things, etc, you should totally pick up Brosh’s books!

Allie Brosh's last book made me laugh, this one made me laugh AND cry (don't worry that's not a bad thing). She brought out the same delightful humor that made me love her writing style, and made it even better. She's definitely been through some stuff since her last book came out, which I expected to be at the forefront of this book, but it wasn't. She mentions it in a few chapters but never really goes too much into it, which for her own sanity was probably for the best. I also loved her newer drawing style. The way she draws herself running around on all 4's had me rolling with laughter. Would highly recommend this to anyone who could use a good laugh.

Surprisingly brutal and tragic while still being funny as hell.
