I loved every second of this clean romance, and read it completely on Valentine's Day. The characters feel true and their decisions and reactions make sense. Jacobson, as an author, treasures values like consent and writes them naturally into her books without it feeling forced. The New Orleans backdrop is a fully developed character of its own, and is integral to the story. This was a delight.
