Snowed In

Sparks fly when two childhood acquaintances decide to fake date when they come home for the holidays, perfect for fans of Jacqueline Snowe and B.K. Borison.

Megan is dreading going home for the holidays after leaving local golden boy Isaac at the altar four years ago to run away to the big city. Christian hates his family's pity eyes every Christmas he shows up on his own. So when the two meet in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact: to be the very best fake dates for each other, ever.

Rules are drawn up, and a contract is signed on a wine-stained napkin. They'll sit through family gatherings and be outrageously in love until freed from their obligations. After all, it's only for a few weeks. But with two big families to deal with alongside old friends, old flames, and old feelings, things are bound to get messy. And when a snowed-in cabin and a little Christmas magic are added to the mix, anything could happen . . .

Catherine Walsh's books are fantastic, I have read one other by her and adored it so I knew I would like this.
If you hadn’t guessed by the cover it is set around Christmas time. The book is set in Ireland and focuses on two main characters Megan and Christian.

Megan hasn’t been back home for four years since she jilted her husband-to-be on their wedding day.
Christian has known Megan since they were at school, he is fed up with being single when visiting his family at Christmas. So, when they bump into each other in Dublin and get chatting, they agree to fake date for their Christmas visit and while there they get Snowed In!

I loved the banter, romance and everything in this book, it flowed so easily. I was totally immersed; it was fast-paced and such an enjoyable read. Especially with Christmas not being too far away now.

Both characters were so likeable, especially Christian who has now earned the title of my new book boyfriend!

As you can tell, I loved it from start to finish and would definitely recommend it!

This book was an easy romance set in a winter setting. Pretty spicy towards the end and loved the main lead male character! It was good but not life changing. ALSO this book is so relatable! There are hardly any books that I can relate to what the characters are thinking and saying

This was very sweet and funny. I’m so glad I added it to my holiday-themed cozy list. This was the least frustrating version of the fake dating, friends to lovers trope that I could imagine. Slow burn, no third act breakup. Sometimes you just want to feel good and this story will make you feel good. After I really got into it, I couldn’t put it down. It was a little on the shorter side and the fast pace towards the end made the conclusion feel a bit rushed. I just wasn’t quite ready for it to be over so soon after the payoff came.
