Slap Shot Scandal by Kara Kendrick, the first book in the Coastal Crushers series, had me hooked from the very first page! 📖 The writing is strong, and the supporting characters—especially Weston’s brothers—add so much heart and humor. Their banter had me laughing out loud and gave the story extra depth. This book delivers everything you want in a sports romance: fiery banter, sizzling chemistry, and high-stakes tension that kept me listening nonstop 🎧.
Narration:
Sean Masters and Emma Wilder absolutely nailed the dual narration 🎙️. Their performances brought Weston and Harbor’s push-pull dynamic to life, making every heated glance and tense moment feel electric ⚡. The pacing was perfect, and their chemistry as narrators elevated the entire listening experience.
Harbor is instantly drawn to Weston, and the chemistry between them? Top-tier. The grumpy x sunshine dynamic had me grinning the whole time—Weston’s broody, possessive edge paired perfectly with Harbor’s strength, smarts, and refusal to be overshadowed. Their banter crackled with enemies-to-lovers tension that felt sharp, sexy, and completely believable.
Add in a realistic workplace/sports setting 🏒, spicy secret hookups 🔥, and a slow burn with a fiery payoff, and this story checks all the boxes ✅. Oh, and Weston’s filthy mouth? Let’s just say...
