I love this series, the relationship between the straight talking, shoot from the hip detective and the wealthy, psychic property developer shouldn't work, but not only does it work, it blossoms.
Detective Kate Morgan, head of the homicide division of the Vancouver PD, was faced with yet another body, the body of a fit, good looking young man, naked apart from a strategically placed festive bow.
Wealthy property developer and Kate's partner, Simon St. Laurent, had a disturbing vision, his visions had helped Kate and her brilliant team in solving crimes in the past but neither of them could connect this vison to the current case.
As Kate uncovers two more bodies that have the same MO, both handsome and fit and both adorned with festive decorations, they had to be linked but how ? what was the common denominator ?
Kate and her team had to up their game before the killer struck again.
I love the unlikely relationship between Kate and Simon, I love how Kate's team look forward the Simon's woo woo input, I love how Kate has tried hard to deny Simon's powers but has gradually come to accept them whilst strenuously denying that she herself may have limited powers.
This is a very complex, convoluted story with wonderful characters, it will have you gripped from the beginning, it has many suspects and few clues.
Whilst Simon is striving to have Kate's back, he has his own problems, who is trying to damage his business and why.
A great story and I look forward to the next one.
