Silent Sister

The must-read suspense novel of the summer about a mysterious sister's disappearance, her biggest betrayal and a deadly truth screaming to come out.

Grace and Maddy are sisters who have nothing in common—until they both disappear on a class trip.

Days later, Grace is found, injured and disoriented, with no memory of what happened—and no clue where her sister is. Everyone thinks she’s lying. It’s hard not to look guilty with Maddy’s blood on her clothes.

With nothing but Maddy's journal as her guide, Grace must piece together what happened to clear her name and find her sister. But she is about to discover that her own secrets could be the most terrifying of all.

A little juvenile at points but a quick and easy read with some great plot twists.

Good gripping book the only thing that made it a low rating was the fact that the ending was disappointing.

Wow, wow, wow!

This was a fantastic book. I have found myself another new author to follow in the future.

Silent Sister is an intriguing, gripping mystery that carries the reader deep into a sister’s love. Grace, the protagonist, frantically tries to recall how her sister, Maddy, disappeared. The way the characters and motives are developed in this story is very complex and detailed; no child’s whys or wherefores seem stable.

The story is wonderfully structured, with Grace’s amnesia adding suspense. This lack of memory adds another element to the mystery. We, just like Grace, are trying with her every step to reconstruct what happened in the affairs surrounding Maddy’s death. The author uses this to create suspense and thicken the plot, holding readers on tenterhooks.

The deeper we go into the story, the more everything we thought was Maddy and her disappearance is questioned. The author skillfully implants in our minds seeds of self-doubt so that we begin to doubt ourselves until the last page.

The prose is tense and attractive as the mystery deepens with each new clue. With skillful prose and imagery, the author draws an intense picture of a story that readers are swept headlong into.

This plot has more twists and turns than a mountain road, keeping you reading until dawn. Its surprise ending will leave you stunned. I loved this book, and I believe you will, too!
