🎧AUDIO REVIEW🎧 ✨A TOP LISTEN OF 2022✨ 🚨TRIGGER WARNINGS!!!🚨 (s/a and violence) Damn! Like, what did I just listen to??? This was my first Amo Jones book and I went in blind, so I really didn't know what I was getting myself into! I am not going to lie.... I did not like Royce for the longest part of the book. And there was a point after I started to like him that I thought he was going to completely disappoint me! Jade was quite the baddie! She takes being a victim and makes sure that her time as such will not be for nothing. She fought in the only way that she knew how! And with Royce being Jade's foster brother, that made the forbidden factor rise! Loved it! There was a scene toward the end that goes into some graphic detail about what happens to someone.... and I really don't think I needed to hear that.... it totally made me cringe! But other than that I didn't feel like the violence was too intolerable. The narration was great! I was really enthralled with the story and the way that it was being told. Never a dull moment!
