Really couldn't get into this book, was very hard to get through it as there were very few moments in the book that I found redeeming and hopeful. The book should have been called Agnes as I felt she was the main character not Shuggie. That is just my opinion. It was good to read something though that reflected a bit on the working classes in Glasgow and to get a sense of their lives. The book wasn't all bad but it definitely wasn't a page turner...read more
