Another great Warriors book! I love how this series makes things like prejudice, insecurity, and showing compassion accessible to young readers. The series deals with prejudice as Fireheart was born a "kittypet" (a human's pet cat) and the clan cats think that because he wasn't born one of them, that he will never be able to understand the warrior code or be as good as forest born cats. This book also shows young medicine cat apprentice Cinderpelt dealing with losing her first patient and the self doubt that follows. I also love that Fireheart deals with all clan cats and problems with compassion first and violence is treated as a last resort!
