I have really enjoyed John Hart and was disappointed in this book. It was too stereotypical as it pertains to some of the characters and the ending was particularly cliche/ predictable. Hart is an excellent writer but I wouldn't rush to recommend this one. I would recommend Down River, The Last Child and Iron House over this one.

So disappointing! I understand why it is doing pretty well. I loved parts of it and couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. The parts with the serial killer though felt like a different author stepped in to write those parts and then the ending?!? ugh. I honestly felt like they had to be written by two people. One part with rich believable (mostly) characters. The other seemed like he was trying to build suspense by making it so you couldn't figure out who it was so he just made it confusing and weird. Frustrating.
