Rapunzel: grimm brothers fairytales

Rapunzel
Once upon a time in a prosperous and peaceful kingdom, there lived a king and a queen.
The queen was very lovely, and one day she gave birth to a beautiful, adorable baby girl.
All the citizens of the country were very happy, and they celebrated the little princess's birth by lighting lanterns and setting off fireworks.
The king and queen ecstatically spent their days with their beautiful little daughter. When the princess turned one year old, she had startling green eyes and jet-black hair. Her beautiful smile made their hearts flutter. But suddenly, something unfortunate happened. The little princess fell sick.
The king and queen provided the best treatment for their daughter and waited for her to recover, but she only grew weaker day by day. Many people prescribed the best medicines they knew, but none were effective.
The king and queen were so distressed-they thought they would lose their daughter.
At that time, the king's minister said, "My lord, I know the medicine for the princess's disease. In the midst of the forest, there is a rare plant. It is grown secretly by a witch, and its power keeps her young forever. It can heal any disease. I am sure that plant will cure the princess."
