This book bothered me so much. It isn't romantic when the "heroine" is flat out saying, "NO. I don't want this," (whether we're told she does or not) but the "hero" continually blows right through all the stop signs.
No means no. Consent is important. This isn't a 1980s bodice ripper historical, where romance authors can justify rape culture. If the heroine wants to be with the hero, she needs to not say, "NO." Because if she is saying NO, then he needs to back the fuh off of her.
This book made me wildly uncomfortable for this reason.
