Best line: There was a time before we had met and all my stars had burnt out, until one day she found me and suddenly there was no longer any doubt.
Worst line: I will love you even if you marry someone else

This book was both a bit eye opening and makes you think into your soul. It’s a good read for long late nights
“It’s the last day of the year and I still lose myself in good books” That’s how i felt reading this amongst a lot more good things. It’s not only about love, but finding it within when you lack it. “Anxiety is a devastating thing. No matter how many times you are told to “breathe,” it feels as though the air has all but thinned, and despite every logical reason to remain calm, you feel like a ship without its sails in the middle of a raging storm.” I wish that anxiety was taken as serious as this quote.
1. Did you like the book? Why? or Why not?
I loved this book. I always love poetry books. I’ve never read any of Courtney Peppernell’s books but I really like this one. This is a basic love poetry book but it doesn’t talk about the glitter and unicorns part of love. It doesn’t talk about the happy parts of a relationship, Courtney talks about raw emotions and heartbreaks. She talks about the effect. It’s like she say’s exactly how you feel when you don’t know how to say it.
2. What was the book about?
Pillow Thoughts is exactly like the title, its the emotions and thoughts you have before you go to sleep while going through and heartbreak but with deeper meaning and explanation.
3. How did the protagonist change throughout the book?
This is a poetry book therefore there isn’t a protagonist and it focuses mainly on heartbreak and agony not so much healing and getting better.
4. Who would you recommend this book to and why?
I would recommend this book to people who like books with a simple meaning but a ton of detail. Courtney is great at expressing what most people can’t word or put into a sentence.
