Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind (1986-09-08)

This was one of the more interestingly written books that I've read lately. The actual writing in it was very well done and quite enjoyable. Smell is a big part of the story (as one would expect), and this book makes you realize exactly how limited our language is around smells and smelling. I was somewhat surprised by the ending. I probably could have seen it coming, but I didn't quite expect what happened, which was nice.
