I really like this author. This ( I'm pretty sure) is one of his first true crime novels. I wanted to like it more because it takes place very close to me, and I remember a lot of aspects about the case when it happened, but the story wasn't interesting enough to fill up as many pages as it did. That's the double-edged sword with writing true crime books: You need a really interesting story that is really well told. This one was good, but not the best.
