Good liked the characters but feel like nothing happened that changed the dynamic of the story until 60% of the way in. It was just a repeat of the two pov catchers thinking the other one didn't like them and got boring quickly. Abrupt ending also.

The first book of this series is still my favorite so far but the characters just keep getting better and better. Clara brought something a little more wild than Grace. I already knew I liked Istvhan in the first book with his wise words of wisdom with Stephen. This one had me cracking up. Again you have two lost middle aged characters trying to find something lost, Clara is looking for her sisters where as Istvhan is look for himself. They meet at an unfortunate event and travel together. The big reveal actually went over my head because I was so focused on a Paladin's and their gods.
