I love information. However, the information shared in this book was shared between "true" stories of multiple children and families who were supposed to either exemplify hardship and disadvantages or be statistical anomalies. The stories and the quotes were just grating though. I felt like the book screamed, "An old (albeit intelligent) white man wrote this." I had to stop reading about 75% of the way through because it just hadn't improved and was starting to irk me.
