I admit that I originally had no intention of reading this book. I hadn't really followed Jessica's career or watched Newlyweds so she wasn't someone I thought I would be interested in reading about.
Thankfully a wonderful reading challenge known as "12 Friends" caught my attention and in asking for book recommendations Open Book came up as a response.
Jessica does a wonderful job with the narration; bringing lots of emotion and vulnerability that allows the reader to connect with the person rather than the celebrity.
I truly appreciate her candor and willingness to expose all the parts of herself that make her a whole. From battles with body image and insomnia to dealing with alcoholism and divorce, Jessica puts it all out there.

I really enjoyed this read. Jessica’s voice is very genuine and humble. Felt like talking to a friend.
