None Other Gods

I kind of enjoyed it. I got it on the spiritual level - that deep inner calling from God to a deeper level of life. However, the book felt a bit pointless, odd and ironically lacking depth of purpose at times. I felt some profound moments. I think maybe Robert was hinting that the main character could be considered for canonisation perhaps, while much of the world may have seen him as morally low lying. Interesting story. I wonder how Robert came across this story. I just discovered it is fiction so disregard last part of my review I guess.
