Well⦠this was shockingly pretty good and was easily 4-5âï¸ for the first 70-80ish but the rest of the book was meh to me so had to knock it down 1.5âï¸. I still enjoyed it and was curious to see the end. It was dark asf but I was soo intrigued by the worms and the characters.
****SPOILERS****
Lilia really considering masturbating in class while recording herself for money had me gasping outloud
I loved this book I wish it was a series versus a stand alone novel 😭. I loved the whole gothic scenery, BRAMWELLL AND LILIAS SLOW BURNNNN was so slow I was getting so mad but once miss lake gave it to us I was addicted. I wished they were able to unpack a lot of things opened up in here like why Bramwell was able to feel again, the whole pregnancy with Lilia’s mom( was Lilia’s infected as well??) and Caed with his backstory. I loved it though I wanted to rate it a 9 but since I feel like the was things left unsaid it’s an 8/10 for me 🫶🏼
nothing like a slowburn where they don't meet for the first 100 and so pages.
i really liked the plot and everything that the author came up with.
it's not a 5 bc i read Gothikana before, and i found a few things similar, which took away from it being interesting to me. still good, sometimes nasty (worms), sometimes hot (Devryck), and other times sad (won't spoil)
good soup.
