Darker than I was expecting, but weird and quirky and greatly underrated. This author is still new to me but I have been liking her work.
I have seen enough of Eddie to know I want to see what the next book holds in this series. Nightshifted kinds gave me Mercy Thompson level urban fantasy vibes but with Eddie a little less in the know if that makes sense. She definitely gets into lots of trouble like Mercy and it's primarily because she's trying to help others.
Her relationship with Ty was unexpected; <spoiler>first core zombie character I've come across in an urban fantasy book so far</spoiler> but it was cool. Hope to see more of him.
