A sense of doom permeates this volume of the Ms. Marvel comics. Yet there is also so much character growth from Kamala Khan, her family, her friends, her schoolmates… everyone is going through it.
My favorite moment from this volume was when Kamala confesses that she is Ms. Marvel to one specific character and that character hugs Kamala, saying that they knew all along. It’s both sweet and funny. (They used as a non-gendered pronoun to minimize spoilers.)
I wish that this volume included more behind-the-scenes stuff to increase the page count. It’s a very brief volume.
8/10 I’m glad to go on whatever journey the creators take me on with this superhero.
