Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore combines fantasy, mystery, friendship, and adventure to look at the modern conflict and transition between new technology (electronic) and old (print books). I liked the writing and it's a fast-paced book.
this book cover glows in the dark! I didnât know until one night I saw it as I was falling asleep and it kinda spooked me for a second
this book is fun to read, sort of like a less intense davinci code. it doesnât require too much brainpower to follow along but there are some easter eggs and lots of mystery to try and predict if you want to use your noggin. if you want to read the book because you saw the title and love books and are expecting something like the starless sea, change your expectations!! itâs not super bookish despite the title
enjoyable but didnât leave a big impression otherwise, plot almost reads like the books iâd read in middle school (like mr lemoncellos library funnily enough)
rating: 3.5
p.s. the mention of mturk gave me flashbacks

Fun, enjoyable, quick, wise, happy, and the best last page of a novel I've ever read.
Quick read, but quite good. I do love a book about books
What a wonderfully beautiful, yet simple little story. I loved every minute of it.
