My first read of this genre in quite some time. Not one to reread but certainly enjoyable! Enjoyed the characters, suspense, writing and Spanglish. Looking forward to another read by this author.
I loved this story. Lore’s longing to feel like more than a mother is totally understandable. The fact she was able to carry on with two husbands for years is kind of insane. Cassie was a little annoying, but she was portrayed as a competent researcher and writer. There were a few twists toward the end that got me.
