This delightful book could be summarized as "Jane Eyre with a dragon". But that would take away from the beauty of Olson's writing and the well thought out craft of the plot and side characters. I was privileged to meet Olson when she attended a book club meeting to discuss this book. She is insightful and well read and her books are a reflection of that.
