Celebrating their first Halloween together as witches, the ladies of the Silver Screen Coven are on hand for the glamorous Mischief Night party at MGM Studios. When an extra is found drowned in an apple bobbing barrel, the cops refuse to come, believing it to be a prank. With the lot locked down, Annabelle, Velma, Mila, & Mae along with their familiars and enchanted spellbook, search for clues and interview suspects. When a spell goes awry, they must evade the nightmares of the biggest stars of the silver screen to get to the truth.
The Silver Screen Coven series whisks the reader back in time to the Golden Age of Hollywood. Amid the glitz and glamour and big named stars, four ordinary women discover their individual powers as well as the power of friendship. The mystery is well plotted and nicely paced with the action contained within the studio lot. Though book 4 in the series, new readers will have no trouble following along.
