Very cathartic easy read. Quick as well as you can see from the start and end dates. Hit very close to home at some points and it was emotional.
A true masterpiece. It made my soul burst into colors that I myself couldn't distinguish. I really loved the way she had portrayed so many emotions so beautifully, almost made me tear up.
3.5 stars!
I'm really not usually a poetry person. Generally, I find poetry to be pretentious with big words for the sake of big words and imagery that doesn't really make sense. But I'd heard a lot of good things about this book, so I decided to check it out. I really loved that the words were so simple, but the way she strung them together was so poignant. I actually enjoyed the poems and found that they were deep and emotional. Granted, some of the poetry read a bit like emo writings from high school and that was a bit much, but overall, I found these poems really beautiful and inspirational.
