This was a short book that discussed the author’s own experience of migraines. Before reading this, I knew migraines were quite a gendered condition, but I didn’t realise quite how much. I didn’t know there were terms such as “migraine personality” (perfectionist, anxious, female = me) and it was also considered a “housewife headache”, and it was viewed that only women who acted like me got them.
