Manhunt is an explosive post-apocalyptic novel that follows trans women and trans men on a grotesque journey of survival.

"A modern horror masterpiece." --Carmen Maria Machado

Beth and Fran spend their days traveling the ravaged New England coast, hunting feral men and harvesting their organs in a gruesome effort to ensure they'll never face the same fate.

Robbie lives by his gun and one hard-learned motto: other people aren't safe.

After a brutal accident entwines the three of them, this found family of survivors must navigate murderous TERFs, a sociopathic billionaire bunker brat, and awkward relationship dynamics--all while outrunning packs of feral men, and their own demons.

"A filthy, furious delight."--The New Yorker

Brutal, grotesque, darkly funny, reflection of trans experiences in cis dominated worlds. This book requires several content warnings, but is well worth the discomfort

Everyone was just so desperate. Idk. I can appreciate the diverse viewpoints, that was cool to get those POVs, but I wasn’t vibing with the desperation to constantly be fucking whoever. For no reason whatsoever lol. It could have been a bunch of straight cis people and I would have rated it the same.

Please take trigger warnings seriously! This book has lots of body-horror and gore. Even for a horror fan, this one stuck with me. If you can hack it (pun intended, iykyk), this is a super interesting dive into the nature of transphobia and how trans women are vilified by society. In a world where cis men have been transformed into literal blood-seeking monsters, factions of cis and trans women fight for resources, society, and the nebulous future of humankind.
