When you're obsessed with something for so long and finally obtain it? It feels like coming home to God. And nobody gives up their fucking spot in Heaven

4.5 ⭐ rounded up to 5 ⭐and Phuong , I'm going to stalk the heck out of your 4/5 ⭐reads

I stared at the blank screen for about 10 minutes because I didn’t know how to start this. It blew my fucking mind. The number of annotations for this book was far too many to include in this review but one constant line throughout my mind:
Broad shoulders. Smooth lines. Blue

I'm going to start off with my new obsession love,
Christian. Christian Allister

THIS IS NOT SPOILER FREE

The man who chose to only kiss one woman in his life because she tasted like his. The man who broke his rule of only having sex three times with the same woman, for her. The man with OCD tendencies who would despite let her spit in his mouth. The man who wore her hair-tie around his wrist since the last time he saw her. The man who never hesitated to hurt or kill anyone that touched her because she belonged to him. The man who would rather die than to see her in a grave. The man who knew from the start that he'd never let her go

I want to be her. Please.

He is the model answer for a perfect love. Love is whatever Christian is or whatever he gave. I know every time I read a book I coo at how "loving" the other guys are but Christian is unforgettable. He can even call me a cow in Russian if it is him who is said it. Christian makes obsession look dark yet beautiful, you question yourself if you'll ever find it in life. Sure, getting an FBI agent who shoots a man for disrespecting his woman is unrealistic in real life but a girl can hope the agent could at least give a good punch right?

I always have a thing for dark, unpredictable, anti-social main characters and Christian suited it so much the match was a 101%. Half of the time he gave narrow eyed glares or half smiles and no one else could pull that off. His sharp-tongued replies had so much more meaning behind them than just sarcasm, I don't fancy sarcasm in real life but Christian can be whatever he wants to be.
How could a man be so cold and yet so warm all at once
fits Christian like a glove. His every:
If you ran, Gianna… The words were malicious yet somehow as soft and desperate as sex in a war-torn field. He pressed his lips to my ear. I would find you
word was so intense I had to remind myself to breathe sometimes.

How did I know that his love was a drug?
Because if you weren't in this world anymore, I would find a way to take myself out of it

This is true love. This is a love that no one can take away, it is so pure and precious.
The kind of love where:
I wanted to capture that look in a bottle and take it with me everywhere
you don't just say "I want to keep you in my pocket" as a saying.
The kind of love where:
There is nothing I have ever forgotten about you
he didn't forget the first time he met her.
The kind of love where he knew what he wanted and had 0 fucks about who he had to kill to get to her:
You touch something that belongs to me, I'll fuck up something of yours

The kind of love where:
I'm going to ruin every part of your body for any other man malyshka, and you're going to thank me when I'm done
he knows he is the only one who gets her body regardless of time and place.
The kind of love where:
If I couldn't fuck her, nobody could fuck her
he doesn't share what is his.
The kind of love where he is so obsessed he:
I'll say when this is over
decides to never let her go.
The kind of love where:
Ask me why I kiss you
he was willing to explain something that haunted him.
The kind of love where:
You take what I give you
he learnt how to give when he never received much.
The kind of love where:
You want to know why I don't touch you? Because if I did, I wouldn't stop
it terrified him and yet he knew he won't be able to live without it.
The kind of love where he pushed his walls down despite every reason not to:
When I said this was new to me, I meant I can’t fucking think when it comes to you. I shouldn’t have said what I said, malyshka. The thought of someone touching you, taking you from me . . . His gaze flashed with darkness. It makes me feel fucking crazy

Okay I need to stop obsessing over Christian because I have too many annotations of him. Moving on.

Gianna... she was every bit intense as much as Christian was. Fire and fire never get along unless they burned together like how Christian and Gianna did. Gianna is the perfect match for Christian in the sense that both gave but didn’t receive even a quarter of what they gave. Gianna had a lot of:
As long as they were looking at my body, they'd never see what was behind my eyes
repression and she portrayed herself to be a woman with fire in her eyes but she just needed someone to hold her. She pushed Christian so that he will pull her but can anyone blame her? She finally found someone that would find her if she runs:
That's because I only run when something's chasing me
because she is enough and her love is reciprocated (Antonio you missed out big time). She was fascinated with Christian:
Just how much blood is on these hands?
but I know deep down she'd get blood on her hands if needed to because after all:
Allister had the kind of hands that made a woman wonder what they would look like against her skin
She would bring him out of:
Darkness loved him - I knew without a doubt they were on good terms
anything that consumed him.

I loved that their relationship was private, they seemed to be a disastrous couple in others' eyes but no one knows their quiet moments:
He helped me rinse off the dishes and clean up the kitchen. Then, he held my face and kissed me softly on the lips
except themselves. Christian was there through every panic attack:
"Breathe,” he demanded. I inhaled deeply. “Let it out.”
and Gianna didn't push when Christian wasn't ready to talk about his past:
I knew he hated delving into his past. It was messy, and he liked all his things lined up neat in a row. And he’d gone in deep for me
He always reassured her:
There are plenty of women who could make you happier, Christian. You’re the only one I want
And he tolerated her messing his things up:
Three bottles of lotion sat on the coffee table, and he hadn’t complained once about how they weren’t lined up neat in a row
Just like how Christian said:
I stole someone else’s fate
they very much each other's endgame.

So despite my clear mad love for this book, why I had to subtract 0.5 stars is because I felt that Christian's past was just brushed away in the end. Gianna's past traumas were evident throughout the book but the reason behind Christian's was not given as much importance as Gianna's had. It made the book less perfect because it made Gianna look like she only received from Christian more than she gave - she did in her own ways but when the past was disclosed I thought it could have at least been explored more rather than leaving it to the last few chapters.

But I'm happy that the epilogue was in Christian's POV because that man appeared once in a blue moon (get it?) I must admit that I was waiting for Gianna to get pregnant since the second half of the book though like gurl make my dream come alive because I can't!

This book was way better than the first and I can't wait for my physical copy to arrive (to annotate the heck out of it of course).

Its almost 1am and I'll go to sleep happily thinking about Christian's shoulders in my bed.
